PROFHILO®

Profhilo® is an injectable treatment containing high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid.

Unlike traditional dermal fillers, it is not designed to sculpt or add volume to specific facial features. Instead, Profhilo® is distributed across carefully selected treatment points, where it works within the tissues to improve hydration and support skin quality.

The result is a subtle approach to skin rejuvenation that focuses on the condition of the skin rather than changing facial structure.

Profhilo® may be suitable for:

Profhilo® is usually performed as an initial course of treatments rather than a single appointment.

Your treatment schedule will be discussed during consultation and tailored according to your skin, previous treatments and individual goals.

Maintenance treatments can then be considered depending on how your skin responds and the results you would like to maintain.

Profhilo® is injected into carefully selected points across the treatment area, allowing the product to disperse within the tissues.

At SÔMA SKIN, we assess your skin quality, hydration, elasticity and overall facial anatomy before recommending treatment.

If another skin booster, polynucleotide or regenerative treatment would be more appropriate for your concerns, this will be discussed during your consultation.

An initial course of 2 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart for optimal results.

Maintain as you need with a single session every 3–12 months or as needed.

We will discuss your recommended treatment plan during your consultation.

Profhilo® is designed to create a gradual improvement in the appearance and quality of the skin.

Following treatment, skin can appear more hydrated, smoother and refreshed, with improvements in firmness and elasticity developing progressively.

The result is intended to be subtle, improving the skin itself without adding traditional filler-like volume or altering your facial features.

Both treatments improve skin quality without adding traditional filler-like volume, but they are suited to slightly different concerns.

Profhilo® is particularly suited to skin that feels dehydrated, less firm or has begun to lose elasticity. Its focus is on deep hydration and improving the overall quality and appearance of the skin.

Sunekos® combines hyaluronic acid with amino acids and may be preferred when fine lines, crepey or thinner-looking skin and loss of elasticity are the main concerns. It can also be particularly useful when treating more delicate areas, including around the eyes.

At SÔMA SKIN, we choose between the two based on your skin quality, treatment area and what you would most like to improve.

Skin boosters and polynucleotides can both be used to improve skin quality, but they work differently and are selected for different concerns.

Skin boosters such as Profhilo® and Sunekos® are particularly useful when the focus is hydration, elasticity, fine lines and improving the overall appearance of the skin. Polynucleotides take a regenerative approach and may be selected where concerns such as texture, skin resilience, delicate under-eye skin or scarring are a greater priority.

For some clients, the treatments can also complement each other as part of a longer-term skin plan.
