REJURAN I® Under-Eye Polynucleotides
Targeted polynucleotide treatment for delicate under-eye skin.
Rejuran I® is a specialised polynucleotide injectable formulated specifically for the delicate skin around the eyes.
Using 2% purified polynucleotides, Rejuran I is designed to support skin regeneration, hydration and elasticity while improving the appearance of fine lines and crepey texture around the eyes.
It is particularly suited to the under-eye area where the skin is thinner and more delicate, making a targeted, low-viscosity formulation appropriate.
-
Rejuran I® is a low-viscosity polynucleotide treatment specifically formulated for the delicate peri-orbital area.
It contains 20 mg/ml (2%) polynucleotides and is designed to support the skin's natural regenerative processes.
Rather than acting as a traditional dermal filler, Rejuran I focuses on improving the quality and condition of the skin.
With treatment, the aim is to support hydration, elasticity and collagen-related skin regeneration, helping the under-eye area appear smoother, fresher and more refined over time. Evidence for periorbital polynucleotide treatments is still developing, but emerging clinical literature supports their use for concerns including fine lines, dry skin and uneven texture.
-
Rejuran I® may be suitable for clients concerned with:
Fine lines around the eyes
Crepey or thin-looking under-eye skin
Loss of elasticity
Dehydrated under-eye skin
Tired-looking eyes
Uneven skin texture
Certain types of dark circles associated with thin or compromised skin
It can be particularly useful when the goal is to improve the quality of the skin rather than add volume.
Important
Not every type of under-eye hollow, pigmentation or puffiness will respond to polynucleotides.
Under-eye concerns can have different causes, including structural volume loss, pigmentation, vascularity and fat-pad prominence. Your suitability will therefore be assessed during consultation.
-
An initial course of 3-4 spaced 2-4 weeks apart for optimal results.
Maintain as you need with a single session every 3–12 months or as needed.
We will discuss your recommended treatment plan during your consultation.
-
After assessing the under-eye area, Rejuran I® is carefully administered into the appropriate treatment area using a technique selected according to your anatomy and skin quality.
Because the eye area is highly delicate, treatment requires careful assessment and precise placement.
The objective is to improve the quality, hydration and resilience of the skin gradually, rather than create an immediate change in facial structure or volume.
-
During your appointment
We will assess your under-eye area and discuss your concerns before deciding whether Rejuran I® is appropriate for you.
The treatment involves a series of small injections into the selected area.
Immediately afterwards
You may experience temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or small raised areas at the injection sites.
Bruising is also possible, particularly around the delicate eye area.
These effects are temporary and your individual aftercare instructions will be provided following treatment.
Over the following weeks
The treatment works progressively as the skin responds.
The aim is for the under-eye area to gradually look smoother, healthier and more refreshed, rather than visibly altered.
-
Please arrive with clean skin around the treatment area.
Before treatment, let us know about any medication you take, allergies, medical conditions, previous aesthetic treatments or anything else that may be relevant to your treatment.
If you are prone to bruising or take medication that may increase bruising or bleeding, please discuss this with us before your appointment.
Your individual pre-treatment guidance will be provided before treatment.
-
Rejuran I® is designed to produce gradual improvements in skin quality rather than an immediate volumising effect.
Over time, the under-eye area may appear:
Smoother
More hydrated
More elastic
Less crepey
Refreshed and brighter
Improved in the appearance of fine lines
Results vary between individuals and depend on the condition of the skin, the underlying cause of the concern and the treatment plan.
Polynucleotide treatments are regenerative in nature, so improvements develop progressively rather than immediately. Emerging evidence supports potential improvements in periorbital fine lines, hydration and skin quality, although further clinical research is still needed.
-
Rejuran I® and tear-trough filler have fundamentally different approaches.
Rejuran I®
Focuses on improving skin quality, hydration, elasticity and the appearance of fine lines.Dermal filler
Adds volume and is used where structural volume loss is the primary concern.Rejuran I® is therefore not a replacement for filler when significant structural volume loss is the main issue. A consultation is important to determine what is actually causing the appearance of hollowness or tiredness beneath the eyes.

At SÔMA SKIN, we take a skin-first approach to under-eye rejuvenation.
The aim isn't to simply treat what is visible. We assess the quality of the skin and the underlying cause of your concern before recommending treatment.
For some clients, Rejuran I® may form part of a wider regenerative treatment plan designed to gradually improve the quality and appearance of the delicate eye area.
IS REJURAN I® RIGHT FOR ME?
The under-eye area is highly individual, and the same concern can have very different causes.
During your consultation, we will assess your skin and discuss whether Rejuran I® is appropriate for your concerns, or whether another approach may be more suitable.
